As 4-H’ers Learn To Do By Doing they’re not only enhancing their education, but also developing decision-making, communication, and leadership skills – which are in high demand in today’s workplace. 4-H Canada’s Careers on the Grow programs help prepare youth for future career opportunities, explore different career paths, provide members with the chance to gain hands-on experience through mentorships, internships, modules, webinars, and more!

Take Part in the 2024 Careers on the Grow Survey!
The purpose of this survey is to better understand the needs of 4-H members around post-secondary and career preparedness. The information you provide will be used to inform topics and details within the Careers on the Grow program in the future.
The survey will be open for one month, and 4-H members and recent alumni across Canada between 15-25 years of age are encouraged to participate. It will take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete.
Internships
Take advantage of hands-on learning opportunities within companies, on farms, with social enterprises, and in rural and urban communities across Canada with our internships program. These internships help you build upon your transferrable and career readiness skills while gaining meaningful work experience that expands your professional network.
eMentorships
Mentorship and networking connections can help you gain insights into career fields, build your professional knowledge, and get career ready! Gain valuable career advice from an experienced professional to help you and learn about different industries and work toward your career goals.
Applications to participate in the eMentorship program will open Sept. 11 and close Sept. 29, 2023.
Career Exploration Modules
With the Careers on the Grow Career Exploration Modules, you can build key career readiness skills and practice them through a personalized hands-on, experiential challenge. These modules are completely individualized – meaning that you will complete activities that consider and focus on your career journey.
Career Resources for Volunteer Leaders
It’s exciting to see 4-H’ers find their passion and start on the path to pursuing their dream career. Volunteer club leaders are a vital resource for youth to turn to during this exciting, but often challenging, time in their lives.
